What is an Executive Board?
The President is responsible for overseeing, supervising, and supporting all aspects of the organization. The President ensures responsibilities are completed and communication is clear and constant. The President enforces university policies and communicates with university faculty on behalf of the organization. The President is also responsible for booking and organizing all performance spaces and social events.
The Vice President is responsible for the organization and distribution of all social media for the organization. The Vice President stays in touch with E-52 alumni and helps organize alumni events. The Vice President also manages E-52’s newsletter, The Encore, which wraps up each semester of the year. Finally, the Vice President is responsible for completing the duties of the President if they are unable to do so.
The Treasurer is responsible for keeping track of all E-52 expenses. They decide on budgeting for shows, social events, and other necessary purchases within the organization. They ensure that we are staying within these budgets and in compliance with university policies. The Treasurer obtains licensing rights for each production and collects receipts of all production expenses to reimburse members who purchase products for our shows.
The Student Representative is responsible for ensuring comfort and inclusivity within our organization. They act as a liaison between the members and the executive board, receiving feedback through anonymous Google forms within shows and general meetings every fourth week. These are a way for the membership to voice their concerns and praises for the executive board and organization as a whole. The student representative is responsible for fielding concerns and fostering the welcoming environment E-52 has to offer.
The Secretary is responsible for sending emails to E-52’s emailing list. These emails include information on our shows, social events, and our weekly meetings. The secretary is also responsible for upkeep of the E-52 office, along with keeping an up-to-date record of the member’s voting points. These voting points are used during elections and proposals, which are also run by the secretary.
The Production Coordinator is responsible for all production aspects of the shows we produce. They act as a liaison between the production council and the executive board, along with supporting the production council with their responsibilities. The production coordinator works with the president to organize and run workshops to educate our members on different production aspects of theatre, along with keeping an up-to-date master rehearsal schedule for the membership to see.
The Social Coordinator is responsible for all social events run by the organization. They act as a liaison between the social council and the executive board, along with supporting the social council with their specific responsibilities. The Social Coordinator runs our annual Hayride and 24 Hours of Theatre, along with working with the rest of the board to host our banquets each semester.
