Description
The Laramie Project is set in and around Laramie, Wyoming. Moises Kaufman and the members of the Tectonic Theatre Company traveled to Laramie to conduct interviews with the residents, police personnel, and other members of the Laramie community. The show is a collection of interviews and events that occur after the murder of 21-year-old Matthew Shepard, who died after being robbed, beaten, and tied to a fence-post. After fighting for his life for 5 days, Matthew Shepard died in the hospital. Throughout the show, varying perspectives and ideologies are presented via the interviews.
